This and That

My grandkids came over with this beautiful bouquet of wild flowers.  Aren't they lovely?  The pink ones are Indian Paintbrush, but I do not know what the yellow ones are.  But what a nice combination.

We had rain this week and it arrived right after I had weeded my garden.  What good timeing that was. Now the plants will really flourish.  We are eating lettuce, beets, dill, spinach, onions, and potatoes.
And from the greenhouse there is ripe tomatoes and cucumbers.  I love summer.

My daughter is an amazing seamstress.  She made several wedding dresses for friends before she made her own over 20 years ago.  Right now she has a job altering wedding dresses, prom dresses and bridesmaid's dresses.  There is good money in doing this and she can work at her own pace from her own home.
I will show you a beautiful quilt she gifted me with last year.

I hope you have enjoyed my pictures and chatter for today.  Cheerio, Darlene

  1. Your daughter's quilt is brilliant and I love your wonderful wild flowers. We saw some beautiful ones on the mountain and hillsides while we were in Banff and the Rockies last week. It was a fun trip and we visited a few quilt shops on our journey. Some time soon I will post about it.
The wildflowers were plentiful- lots of Indian paintbrush, Queen Anne's lace and a purple one that I am not sure of the name. There were some black eyed susans and Daisies as well.
Thank you so much for your package- it arrived in the mail last week at some point. I appreciated your thoughtfulness.
Hope that you have not had any hail or terrible storms where you are- We have been missed a few times in our part of the city.
    Warmest regards,
    Anna

    1. You are very welcome for the pattern I sent your way. Hopefully you will find time to make it one day. It was a fun one to do and a great way to use up some stash. We have not had any scary storms - just a couple of ones with heavy rain but nothing that caused any damage. I have had a busy week with garden produce. TTYL, Darlene
